2023 Candidate Survey
Equality Loudoun is a non-profit organization that advocates, educates, defends, and builds community to support LGBTQ+ equality in Loudoun County. Because we are a 501(c)(3), we do not endorse any political candidates. We do, however, believe it is appropriate to ask candidates running for office to be clear about their views and stances on issues that impact the LGBTQ+ community they intend to represent.
We recognize that not all positions may appear to have direct purview over issues that impact members of the LGBTQ+ community. However, each candidate is asking to be elected by all voters in Loudoun County, and Equality Loudoun believes these questions should be asked of every candidate running for an elected office.
We have shared these questions with each candidate who is asking to be elected by voters in Loudoun County, VA this election season and will publish their responses.
We acknowledge that not completing the form or responding via email does not necessarily mean the candidate is not supportive of the LGBTQ+ community, but hope that they will take this opportunity to make their positions absolutely clear to voters.
We sent each candidate an email on 9/29/23 asking them to respond to the following questions via a Google form or email response. We will publish their responses in full as we receive them.
