The season of gratitude is here, and we are reflecting on how our community has joined in solidarity to push back against hateful rhetoric and discriminatory policies. Thanks to your generous support, Equality Loudoun has continued to counter this rising tide through advocacy, visibility, education, and community-building. This Giving Tuesday we invite you to join our community of supporters and make a meaningful impact.
Our 2025 Impact: What We Accomplished Together
Thanks to the commitment of our community and allies, we've had a year of profound impact:

We sent a strong message to the School Board, including a rally and a successful letter writing campaign, to protect the rights of trans students in LCPS.

With our partners at Loudoun Pride and PFLAG of Ashburn/Loudoun County, we painted the first Rainbow Crosswalk in Leesburg to increase LGBTQ+ visibility and safety.

We hosted or partnered on over 40 events, including gatherings, celebrations, remembrances, new collaborations, and engagements to raise awareness across the county.

We welcomed 16 new Equality Allies, expanding the network of people, places, and institutions committed to active allyship across Loudoun County.

We conducted regular education sessions for the general public and tailored for local organizations to help create a more supportive and welcoming community.
Momentum for 2026: Why We Need You Now
Despite these successes, our work is far from complete. In 2026, we plan to bring on more team members and launch the first dedicated LGBTQ+ space in Loudoun County where our community can safely gather, celebrate, learn, and seek and provide support.
