Author Event 'American Teenager: How Trans Kids Are Surviving Hate and Finding Joy in a Turbulent Era'

My name is Nico Lang, and I’m a longtime LGBTQ+ journalist, as well as the author of the recently released book American Teenager, which documents the lives of trans kids and their loved ones in seven different states. My goal was to speak back to extreme anti-trans rhetoric about youth by showing trans kids as they actually are: powerfully human. I’ll be in Reston, Virginia this coming Saturday, July 19 for a reading and Q&A at Scrawl Books (11911 Freedom Dr.), in conversation with Casey Pick of The Trevor Project. The event starts at 1:00pm.
