DESCRIPTION

The Loudoun Trauma-informed Community Network (TICN) is a diverse group of individuals from various sectors - public, private, non-profit, state, and local government - who seek to foster a resilient community that promotes health, healing, compassion, collaboration, education, and community engagement.

Answer: We offer opportunities for LGBTQ+ inclusive trainings multiple times a year.

Answer: We have LGBTQ+ inclusive and affirming belief statements

Answer: We have year-round shows of support that are specifically affirming or positive for the LGBTQ+ community.

Answer: Loudoun’s TICN seeks to foster a resilient community that promotes health, healing, and compassion through collaboration, education, and community engagement.

Answer: As a community organization we affirm our belief statements. Any topic or issue may be raised or addressed by any member. Generally, we seek out subject matter experts, so Equality Loudoun as a member, would be asked to contribute.


Question: Do you supply any training materials to individuals in your organization, or outside of your organization? If so, what do those materials entail?

Answer: We consult with and refer to Equality Loudoun for LGBTQ+-specific training materials.


Question: How do you make your organization a safe and affirming place for LGBTQ+ people to be?

Answer: We provide ongoing visibility and engagement with LGBTQ+ issues and individuals. We center our work on trauma-informed learning and approaches. We seek affirmation on non-discriminatory beliefs from all members.
